Roche was ranked 4th in Natural Sciences in the Europe's Ideal Employers survey done by Universum. This is an improvement from last year's 7th place. This research is done amongst almost 20.000 students across Europe.

South Africa
Roche was nominated as a Runner up at the “SAGRA Annual Awards”. Each year SAGRA (South African Graduate Recruiters Association) runs industry surveys to evaluate the following:
Over 81 companies participated, Roche was listed as a runner up. Roche South Africa is one of the best companies to work for as voted by the graduates. 
Croatia
On 1st of June Roche Croatia were awarded 3rd place in the competition for “Best Employer 2011” organized by the biggest Croatian job portal “MojPosao” supported by newspapers Business.hr and Lider. The survey was done anonimously, all employees evaluated the employer according to 6 categories: strategy and leadership, job content, work environment and reward, individual development, interpersonal relationship, loyalty to the company and security of the job. 
China
Roche Diagnostics China has been awarded as “2011 China’s Top Employers” by CRF (Corporate Research Foundation) institute on 18th Jan, 2011. After a series of evaluations on HR strategy, policy, practice and corporate culture, RD China stands along with other 29 winners - out of 450 companies.

Roche Basel is ranked No. 5 in 2010, coming from No. 17 in 2009 in Science Magazin’s Science Careers Top Employer Survey 2010. The major driver for the ranking: being an innovative leader in the industry.

Roche – again, one of Switzerland’s top employers in the health/medicine sector based on the survey of Universum. The company came second in the natural sciences category, and also improved its ranking in the business sciences (now placed 8th) and engineering professions (now placed 19th) categories, compared to the results of the previous year. 
Germany
Roche Diagnostics has been once again identified as one of the Top Employers for Young Professionals in the target group of natural science in Germany. About 7.000 Young Professionals were asked by Universum.
Roche Diagnostics took the 3th place (together with Bayer) and continues to be a "First Choice" employer. We improved our position from five to three in 2010. 
Colombia
In 2010, Roche qualified again for being on the list of Great Place to Work Colombia. This is the 7th year in a row that this achievement was reached and our company finished this year as number 19 in the ranking. 
Uruguay
Roche reached the 9th position in the ranking of GPTW 2010 in Uruguay and the 1st place among the pharmaceutical companies. 
New Zealand
Each year, the JRA Best Workplaces Survey reveals the top organisations to work for in New Zealand. In 2010, 245 organisations participated in the survey. Roche ranked No 9 this year.

Roche in Austria, including all the three Austrian Roche affiliates, has been honored with the Career’s Best Recruiters Award. This Award was granted this year for the first time and it rewards the most successful employer brands in Austria. In total, 642 Austrian Top-Employers in 18 different industries were competing. The ranking was based on scientific standards of Austrian Employer Branding & Recruitment Research.

![]() | Genentech Genentech Named to FORTUNE's "100 Best Companies to Work For" List for 12th Consecutive Year On January 21, 2010, FORTUNE magazine named Genentech to its "100 Best Companies to Work For" list for the 12th consecutive year. In selecting the "100 Best Companies to Work For," FORTUNE relies on two sources: the opinions of the company's own employees and a "culture audit" of the programs and practices at each company. The former is deemed most important, with two-thirds of the total score coming from employee responses to a survey created by the Great Place to Work Institute. The remaining one-third of the score comes from FORTUNE's evaluation of each company's answers to questions about pay, benefits, hiring, communication, culture and diversity. The most important considerations for this year's list were whether companies are hiring and the ways in which companies are helping their employees weather the recession. Genentech is the only biotech/pharmaceutical company since 2000 to be ranked among the top 20. Read more |

![]() | United States May 1, 2009 — The San Francisco Business Times has just ranked Genentech the #1 Best Place to Work in the Bay Area among local companies with more than 1,501 employees. The ranking is entirely based on employee responses to a confidential 37-question survey completed between February 13 and March 6. This is the fifth year that Genentech employees have participated in the survey and the third time we've been ranked number one. (We also took the top spot in 2006 and 2007.) |

| | Germany Roche Diagnostics reached again 3rd place in the German Universum Young Professional Survey just behing two state-run companies. The ranking of industrial companies is led by Roche Diagnostics as an attractive employer. About 2,500 e-fellows.net scholarship holders participated in the annual Employer Brading Survey held in October 2008, which is a cooperation project of e-fellows.net, TNS Infratest, DIE ZEIT and the Chair for Marketing Management at the HHL - Leipzig Graduate School of Management. The survey investigates what high potentials expect from the ideal employer, the appeal of different industries, functions and positions for career entry and the perception of selected employer branding. Roche Diagnostics took first place for the 4th year in a row and continues to be a "First Choice" employer. |

![]() | Australia Australia entered for the 1st time the Australian and New Zealand Hewitt's Best Employer Survey and achieved an overall Engagement score of 83%. This places Roche Australia as being in the high Performance Best Employer Zone. Participation in a local climate survey titled "The Voice Survey" conducted by Macquarie University, overall engagement score of 83%. The Voice has a database of around 750 companies in Asia Pacific which it uses to benchmark against. Roche Australia is one of the top performers in the data base. |

| | United States The Selling Power magazine announced in its November / December 2008 issue that Roche ranks No 1 for the sixth year in a row among the top companies to sell for in the United States. The ranking is based on responses to a survey sent to top Sales Executives, Training Managers and Human Resources Managers. The magazine's editors base the rankings on criteria in three categories: compensation, training and career mobility. Roche scored the highest with 77 total points out of 100. |
